Beginner
Beginning Beekeeping Course
Time: 9 am - 4 pm
Location: Bemis Honey Bee Farm
Instructor: EAS Certified Master Beekeeper, Richard Underhill
Catered Lunch Included
This class is for anyone and everyone! If you are interested in bees and how they work, you are new to beekeeping, or you are considering keeping bees.
The first half of the class is lead by Richard Underhill, a Master Beekeeper who has taught with us for years. He will discuss bees and their history, the biology of the honey bee, as well as best beekeeping practices. The second part of the day will be lead by Jeremy Bemis who will introduce beekeeping supplies and equipment and discuss hive maintenance.
Weather permitting, we will end the day by suiting up and visiting the bee yard for some hands-on learning.
No refunds or exchanges for cancellations made less than 7 days before the class date.
