Intermediate Beekeeping Course | May 14, 2022
May 14, 2022 | 9 am - 4 pm
Now that you are a beekeeper and you have had a little experience in the bee yard, a million questions have come to mind. You have probably made a mistake or two - but that is okay. As a beekeeper, you will never stop learning and you will continue to make mistakes from time to time.
This class covers a variety of topics, from hive management techniques to common problems in the bee yard. We will explore the complexity of the honey bee colony and look at the measures currently available to maintain healthy and productive colonies. The class has a lecture portion in the classroom and a hands on portion in the bee yard at the end of the day. (Weather permitting) Taught by EAS certified Master Beekeeper, Richard Underhill, you are guaranteed to learn a thing or two! We encourage everyone to ask questions. Please bring your safety gear for the hands on portion of the class. If you do not have safety gear, we will provide you with a suit and gloves.
Lunch is included. If you have special dietary needs, please contact us at least a week in advance so that we may make adjustments.
