Bees Beyond Borders
Bees Beyond Borders is an apiculture educational organization. Teaching the fundamentals of apiculture and guide beekeepers on their quest. Creating sustainable livelihoods by providing apiary education and support. They envision a world where beekeeping thrives as a means of sustainable development, contributing to environmental conservation.
Bo Sterk and David Westervelt have been beekeepers with over 50 years of experience. Both have served on boards at County, State and National Associations. Co- Chairs of Education for the American Beekeeping Federation.
The objectives of Bees Beyond Borders are multifaceted and include:
1. Educating farmers, beekeepers, and the general population about the benefits of beekeeping and its by-products, such as honey, candles, and beauty products, to create income for sustainable living.
2. Training beekeepers in bee anatomy, health, and hive management to improve the quality of their hives and the health of the bees. Beginners or Advanced beekeeping techniques. 3. Encouraging community support for local beekeeping initiatives.
4. Inspiring future beekeepers and generations to continue the tradition and contribute to the sector's growth.
Bees Beyond Borders will be offering a special 2 day workshop, April 21-22. Classes will be on various subjects from reviewing beginner techniques to queen rearing for advanced beekeepers. Join us for great beekeeping conversations.
