3lb Package Description: A 3lb package contains approximately 10,000 Italian hybrid honey bees. The bees are housed in a wooden box with wire screens on both sides to ensure ample airflow. The marked and mated queen is placed inside the package in a separate wooden cage suspended at the top. Accompanying the queen are several worker bees who tend to her needs. The queen's cage is sealed with a candy plug and two corks. Additionally, a can of sugar water is included in the package to provide a continuous food source.

We recommend installing your bee package on the same day you pick it up. Follow the installation instructions provided via email closer to the time and given in person. A live demonstration will occur during our free event, "Bee Day," which is held on the same day and at the location of bee pickup.
