9 am - 4 pm @ Bemis Honey Bee Farm
Join us for a packed day of education and beekeeping fun. This class is a crash course for beginner beekeepers that features a hands on portion in the bee yard. No experience or materials required. The lecture portion touches on honey bee biology, history, beekeeping practices, hive components, and honey harvesting. The day ends in the bee yard with a hands on hive check (weather permitting). Safety gear is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own suit and gloves if preferred.
Catered lunch included. (If you have special dietary needs, please contact us a week before the class so that we may make adjustments.)
